The original from which this facsimile was prepared is bound with a large-format Book of Common Prayer (about 375mm high by 235mm wide) printed by John Baskett in 1718. The book is bound in leather, with 'Youlgreave Church 1841' tooled deeply into the front cover. It seems to have been little used, except for the service for Holy Communion where pages are stained with wine and crumbling at the corners.
