Publishing history

In producing this facsimile, each page was scanned very carefully into Adobe Photoshop as a colour image, rotated as necessary, cropped, adjusted to maximise contrast between print and background, then saved as a greyscale image. The images were then stitched together in Acrobat Professional, and optimised for file size.

The book includes music from William East, William Knapp, John Arnold and others. It has four-part metrical psalm settings interspersed with the bass line of other tunes.

The book is rather fragile and a few pages are missing.
